About this role

Scout Motors seeks an Engineer to design and develop steering system electrical architecture and embedded software for next-generation electric vehicles. You'll lead E/E integration, define system requirements, execute validation testing, and ensure functional safety compliance across hardware and software components.

What you'll do

  • Design Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems with focus on E/E architecture and embedded software control strategies
  • Define and manage steering system requirements, signal interfaces, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
  • Collaborate with software, controls, and vehicle integration teams on robust feature implementation
  • Plan and execute system-level validation including HIL, SIL, and vehicle-level testing
  • Support functional safety activities including hazard analysis and verification/validation to meet standards
  • Drive calibration, data analysis, and debugging for high-quality system performance
