About this role
SharkNinja seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to lead haircare product development from concept through manufacturing. You'll design innovative consumer appliances, build prototypes, conduct testing, and collaborate across R&D, design, marketing, and quality teams to bring next-generation products to market.
What you'll do
- Drive engineering design and development of cutting-edge haircare products from concept to production
- Design and build prototypes for internal testing and consumer validation
- Lead cross-functional brainstorming and peer design reviews to challenge concepts and drive improvements
- Design and execute design of experiments (DOEs) to understand key product variables
- Collaborate with R&D, Industrial Design, Marketing, and Quality on product lifecycle development
- Research emerging technologies, teardown competitor products, and source materials and vendors

- Mechanical Engineering (BS/MS required)
- CAD design using ProE/Creo or SolidWorks
- Product design and prototyping (3D printing, sheet metal, injection molding)
- Heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow analysis
- Electro-mechanical assembly knowledge (motors, sensors, PCBAs)
- Test protocol creation and data analysis
- Manufacturing process expertise (injection molding, sheet metal forming)
- Machine shop and hand tool proficiency
