Embedded Software Engineer

About this role

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary specializing in advanced mesh network communications for defense and public safety, is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop MANET radio systems and related technologies. You'll work on device drivers, networking protocols, security features, and audio applications in a hybrid role based in West Los Angeles.

What you'll do

• Develop MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocol software
• Implement network management software and web interfaces
• Design and integrate security protocols and encryption algorithms
• Create audio streaming and push-to-talk voice applications
• Develop device drivers and board support packages for ARM and RISC-V systems
• Build testing software for performance and reliability validation

• C programming
• Linux kernel driver development
• Socket programming and Internet/Ethernet protocols
• Security protocols and encryption (CNSA, IPsec)
• MAC and networking layer design
• Linux system customization and scripting
• ARM and RISC-V architecture
