About this role

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary specializing in advanced mesh network communications for defense and public safety, is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop MANET radio software and contribute to mission-critical systems. You'll work on device drivers, networking protocols, security implementations, and audio streaming features for tactical communications equipment.

What you'll do

  • Develop MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocol software
  • Build network management tools and web interfaces
  • Implement security protocols and encryption algorithms
  • Create audio streaming and push-to-talk voice applications
  • Develop and maintain device drivers and board support packages for ARM and RISC-V systems
  • Design testing software for product performance and reliability validation

  • C programming
  • Linux kernel driver development
  • Socket programming and Internet/Ethernet protocols
  • MAC and networking layer architecture
  • Security protocols and encryption (CNSA algorithms, IPsec)
  • Linux Interrupt Service Routine development
