About this role
Smartsheet is seeking a Software Engineer I to build scalable full-stack services while leveraging AI tools to improve development efficiency. You'll work across Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, and React in a distributed systems environment, collaborating with product teams on features that matter.
What you'll do
- Develop scalable front-end and back-end services using Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, and React
- Address distributed systems challenges and work with AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions with engineers and product managers
- Add new features to existing applications while balancing build, refactor, and simplification decisions
- Actively integrate AI tools into coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting workflows
- Partner with product management to translate business needs into technical solutions
