About this role

Graphcore seeks a Staff Hardware Engineer to support bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting of Arm-based AI compute platforms in lab and data center environments. The role involves advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability of next-generation hardware infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Lead break-fix troubleshooting for server blades, motherboards, power systems, and rack-scale infrastructure
  • Support hardware bring-up activities and validate firmware interactions with system components
  • Diagnose system-level failures related to thermal behavior, power anomalies, networking, and firmware issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams on design improvements
  • Develop documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides for operational procedures
  • Mentor junior technicians and participate in on-call support during critical milestones
