About this role
Stripe seeks a Software Engineer to design and maintain scalable APIs, backend services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, Go, and Scala. You'll build production infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Stripe's financial platform serving millions of businesses.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, backend services, and distributed systems
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain software infrastructure for large-scale production systems
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across multiple services and technology layers
- Develop testing, validation, and documentation procedures to ensure system reliability
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement features for large-scale systems
- Design and build secure systems for production data and service management
