About this role

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test Contractor to build and maintain automated test suites for PlayStation peripherals and firmware. You'll own test coverage across embedded systems and platform integration, working with C and Python to ensure quality and reliability of PlayStation Link devices across PS5, PlayStation Portal, and Windows.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain automated tests in C for firmware and Python for platform integration
  • Own and drive test coverage for assigned features with comprehensive automation suites
  • Perform firmware integration testing on PlayStation 5, Portal, and Windows platforms
  • Monitor test infrastructure, troubleshoot automation failures, and optimize performance
  • Analyze test data to identify flaky tests and improve runtime efficiency
  • Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams on test alignment and integration
