Electrical Engineer

About this role

Space Kinetic, an aerospace startup in Albuquerque, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical prototypes for innovative space technology. You'll take concepts from schematic to flight-ready hardware, working across prototype iterations with a focus on advancing the company's core space operations platform.

What you'll do

• Design and develop electrical prototypes, including circuit design, schematics, and component selection
• Refine the current prototype's electrical architecture toward flight-ready configuration
• Support PCB layout design and coordinate with external vendors for fabrication and assembly
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation to improve system reliability and performance
• Collaborate with manufacturing and mechanical engineering teams on system integration
• Create and maintain electrical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and ICDs
