Systems Engineer
About this role
Space Kinetic seeks a Systems Engineer to shepherd spacecraft and mission systems through their complete lifecycle, from concept through operations. You'll balance system-level analysis with detailed implementation, manage requirements and interfaces, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure technical coherence on innovative government space programs.
What you'll do
- Perform systems engineering across spacecraft lifecycle: concept, architecture, design, integration, verification, launch, and operations
- Develop and maintain system-level requirements (functional, performance, interface, environmental) with full traceability
- Decompose mission objectives into clear, verifiable system and subsystem requirements
- Build and maintain Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model in Cameo SysML
- Coordinate technical activities across subsystems, payloads, flight software, ground systems, and mission operations
- Lead integration and verification strategies, test planning, anomaly investigation, and troubleshooting across multiple disciplines
