About this role
SpaceX seeks an Avionics Test Engineer to develop rapid test solutions for flight-critical hardware including computers, power systems, and circuit boards destined for space missions. You'll write Python automation software, collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, and troubleshoot failures to ensure mission reliability and crew safety.
What you'll do
- Design and develop test solutions for in-house avionics hardware slated for spaceflight
- Write Python automation software to control units under test, test equipment, and instrumentation systems
- Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams to improve product reliability and manufacturing yield
- Root-cause test failures and implement process improvements and mitigations
- Analyze electrical schematics and manufacturing processes to enhance test coverage
- Verify product requirements using test equipment and measurement techniques
