About this role
SpaceX seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design, construction, and commissioning of aerospace and industrial infrastructure projects at its Texas Rocket Development Facility. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, perform structural analysis, oversee contracts, and resolve field challenges across the full project lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Lead project teams and contractors through civil/structural design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Develop engineering drawings, design documentation, and technical reports for aerospace and industrial projects
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations for steel and concrete systems
- Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors through closeout
- Conduct onsite engineering inspections, field observations, and real-time conflict resolution
- Ensure construction compliance with codes, standards, and specifications

- Structural design and analysis (steel and concrete)
- AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software
- SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, or similar analysis tools
- Knowledge of AISC, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and IBC codes
- Construction contract management and procurement
- Project management (estimating, cost control, scheduling)
- Multidisciplinary coordination (mechanical, electrical, geotechnical)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
