About this role
SpaceX seeks an Environmental Engineer for its Bastrop, TX facility to develop and maintain environmental compliance programs across multiple regulatory frameworks. The role involves managing permits, conducting audits, tracking regulations, and coordinating with federal and state agencies to ensure operational compliance.
What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and improve environmental programs and compliance initiatives at the Bastrop location
- Maintain compliance with EPA, TCEQ, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, and other federal and Texas regulatory requirements
- Perform environmental audits and manage hazardous waste, stormwater, and industrial discharge permits
- Track and interpret new environmental regulations, providing guidance to management
- Operate environmental tracking software and maintain comprehensive compliance recordkeeping
- Coordinate with contractors on permitting and environmental testing; develop relationships with regulators
