About this role
SpaceX seeks an Environmental Engineer to develop and maintain environmental compliance programs at their McGregor, TX testing facility. You'll manage regulatory adherence across EPA, TCEQ, RCRA, and other agencies while coordinating with engineering teams and external regulators.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement environmental programs and compliance initiatives at the McGregor facility
- Ensure adherence to EPA, TCEQ, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT and other federal/state regulations through audits and monitoring
- Manage hazardous materials tracking, waste reporting, and Tier II/TRI compliance documentation
- Maintain operational compliance plans including SWPPPs, spill prevention, industrial discharge permits, and Title V permits
- Coordinate environmental contractors for permitting and testing; review and maintain assessment records
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise management; develop relationships with federal, state, and county regulators
