IT Network Engineer, Mission Systems
About this role
SpaceX seeks an experienced network engineer to design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical networks supporting high-cadence launch operations and production systems at Cape Canaveral. The role requires expertise in large-scale, high-reliability environments with hands-on involvement in network architecture, automation, and real-time operational support during launches.
What you'll do
- Design and implement highly available networks with routing and redundancy technologies for production and launch operations
- Design, deploy, and maintain mission data center and site networks aligned with company standards
- Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including switches, firewalls, multiplexing, and SD-WAN appliances
- Contribute to network automation tooling with configuration management, linting, and scalability improvements
- Troubleshoot network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and perform network maintenance during scheduled outages
- Provide direct networking support during launch and test campaigns with on-call availability
