About this role

SpaceX seeks an IT Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional technical projects and drive operational improvements across the IT organization at the Cape Canaveral facility. You will transform complex problems into executable plans, manage multi-team initiatives, build automated project tools, and provide data-driven insights to executives while supporting the mission to enable human life on Mars.

What you'll do

  • Convert ambiguous problem statements into clear requirements and actionable plans with IT teams
  • Lead meetings, presentations, and working sessions to keep stakeholders aligned across concurrent projects
  • Build and maintain auto-updating dashboards, metrics, risk registers, and reports using AI-assisted tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)
  • Deliver executive summaries and briefings on project status, risks, budget health, and opportunities
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and drive process improvements with measurable feedback
  • Provide analytical and strategic support through data visualization and storytelling
