About this role
SpaceX seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead infrastructure projects at our McGregor, TX rocket development facility. You'll oversee the design, procurement, and construction of HVAC, piping, and facility systems while managing multidisciplinary teams and resolving real-time field challenges.
What you'll do
- Lead project teams through engineering, procurement, and construction phases for aerospace and industrial facility infrastructure
- Design and manage HVAC, piping, and tubing systems using fluid dynamics and thermodynamics principles
- Write, negotiate, and oversee construction contracts with subcontractors across disciplines from concept through activation
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and commercial bid documents for mechanical systems
- Manage multiple simultaneous construction projects with accurate budgeting, cost forecasting, and schedule tracking
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
