About this role
SpaceX seeks a Network Engineer to drive technical success for Starlink Maritime, connecting enterprise customers on vessels and offshore platforms. You'll bridge customer needs with product development, own pre-sales technical authority, and lead initiatives to improve reliability and drive adoption across the maritime fleet.
What you'll do
- Own technical success for strategic maritime customers and ensure product meets enterprise requirements
- Define and implement technical product requirements addressing maritime-specific customer needs
- Serve as technical authority during pre-sales and customer engagements
- Develop processes and tools for installation, setup, and troubleshooting to enable seamless integration
- Identify high-leverage product opportunities and drive prioritization across the engineering organization
- Analyze fleet performance data to identify gaps and drive network improvements

- Network engineering and deployment of network technologies
- Core networking concepts (Layer 1-3) and protocols (IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, NAT, NTP, IPsec VPN)
- Routing technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, SATCOM) and WAN architectures
- Backhaul, cloud, and ISP networking (BGP, peering, dedicated interconnects)
- Data visualization and geospatial data representation
- First-principles problem solving and decomposition
- Marine electronics and networking equipment
- Software engineering collaboration or development experience
