About this role

Blueprint is seeking a Software Design Engineer in Redmond, WA to develop next-generation systems and AI-powered engineering capabilities. You'll primarily code in Python while working across systems software, Windows development, cloud infrastructure, and AI/LLM integration, turning research concepts into practical engineering solutions.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain software across systems, developer platforms, and AI-powered environments using Python, C/C++, and PowerShell
  • Build automation tools that improve software engineering workflows, testing, debugging, and developer productivity
  • Develop tools and services integrating AI and large language models with source code, engineering data, and system telemetry
  • Work with Azure, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure to create scalable engineering solutions
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting, unit testing, and problem diagnosis across new and legacy production systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to translate research concepts and experimental ideas into practical solutions
