About this role
SpaceX seeks new graduate engineers to develop guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for the Starlink satellite constellation and user terminals. You'll write production-grade C++ or Python code for autopilot systems, constellation optimization, collision avoidance, and state estimation across thousands of satellites and millions of terminals.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable GNC algorithms, simulations, and tools in C++ or Python for production use
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews with team members
- Analyze bulk performance data from Starlink constellation and network elements
- Write technical documentation for algorithms, programs, and analysis work
- Support on-call operations rotation by commanding satellites and monitoring network health
- Focus on specific areas such as constellation design, orbit control, collision avoidance, or attitude determination
