About this role

SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer for Applied AI to serve as a technical bridge between internal teams and AI/LLM capabilities. You'll design integration strategies, build prototypes, and guide cross-functional teams in deploying large language models across SpaceX's programs.

What you'll do

  • Partner with internal teams to understand needs and design aligned technical solutions
  • Serve as primary technical contact supporting end-to-end implementation and cross-team coordination
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept applications demonstrating LLM integration with Spok/Grok
  • Advise on system architecture and support teams developing LLM-powered applications
  • Stay current on emerging LLM technologies, best practices, and tools
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes through AI system design and integration
