About this role
SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer to help internal teams across spaceport facilities integrate large language models and AI technologies into their workflows. You'll identify operational inefficiencies, design and prototype AI-powered solutions, and serve as the technical bridge between teams while ensuring safe, responsible AI deployment.
What you'll do
- Identify operational challenges and inefficiencies, analyze root causes, and develop targeted solutions
- Partner with Production, Facilities, Finance, and Experience teams to understand needs and design aligned technical approaches
- Act as primary technical contact for end-to-end AI integration projects, coordinating across teams
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts demonstrating effective integration with Grok and LLMs
- Advise on system architecture for LLM-powered applications and advanced use cases
- Stay current with evolving LLM technologies, best practices, and relevant tools
