About this role

SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer to optimize manufacturing facility operations at its Hawthorne factory. You'll design metrics, dashboards, and process improvements while managing cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency across construction and infrastructure engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Develop visual standards for work boards, JIRA, PowerBI dashboards, and department workflows
  • Support continuous improvement projects including process standardization and rollouts
  • Analyze operations data using SQL and other methods to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Design and build department-level metrics and dashboards to measure operational health
  • Conduct audits of repair, maintenance, and construction engineering teams to streamline processes
  • Implement automation and tools to reduce risk and create factory efficiencies
