About this role
SpaceX seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical software infrastructure for Falcon 9, Starship, and Dragon vehicles. You'll reduce build and test times for safety-critical vehicle software while collaborating closely with application engineers to build highly operable systems that power SpaceX's launches and Starlink operations.
What you'll do
- Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale mission-critical products and services
- Manage infrastructure as code and use observability tools to monitor application health
- Collaborate with software engineers to design operable, maintainable, and testable systems
- Improve the software development lifecycle from design through deployment and refinement
- Conduct incident response and blameless postmortems
- Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through measurement and engineering
