About this role
SpaceX is seeking a RAN Validation Engineer to validate and optimize the 4G/5G protocol stack for Starlink Mobile, a satellite-to-cellular service extending coverage globally. You'll develop automated test frameworks, perform field testing, analyze network performance, and collaborate with developers to resolve complex RAN issues.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks for eNB/gNB feature validation across functional, performance, interoperability, and regression testing
- Analyze UE and eNB/gNB logs to debug RAN issues and drive developer fixes
- Lead UE log collection and field testing to support feature development
- Build software tools and database queries to analyze RAN performance and optimize eNB/gNB parameters
- Manage and prioritize network issues in collaboration with developers
- Troubleshoot and maintain RAN lab infrastructure with partner teams
