About this role
SpaceX seeks a Security Engineer to design and operate protective infrastructure for enterprise systems, networks, and data. You'll build identity services, enforce cloud security policies, and collaborate across teams to reduce security risks through scalable software solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain security technology protecting systems, networks, and data
- Implement authentication, multi-factor authentication, and network access control services
- Automate identity lifecycle management for security and partner organizations
- Operate backend infrastructure supporting network security services
- Manage web application firewalls and application-level security controls
- Identify threats and gaps, then ship software changes to reduce risk

- Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust
- Linux, Windows, macOS system internals
- Public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptography
- SAML, OIDC, and OAuth protocols
- TCP/IP and UDP networking
- Web APIs, HTTP-RPC, and REST
- TPMs and HSMs
- Root-cause debugging under pressure
