About this role

SpaceX seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain mission-critical software infrastructure that powers Falcon 9, Starship, and Dragon launches. You'll reduce build and test times for vehicle software, collaborate with engineers to design scalable systems, and ensure reliable operations across SpaceX's aerospace and Starlink platforms.

What you'll do

  • Deploy, upgrade, operate, and scale mission-critical products and services supporting vehicle software
  • Manage infrastructure as code and implement observability tools to monitor application health
  • Partner with software engineers to design operable, maintainable, and testable systems
  • Improve the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and refinement
  • Conduct incident response and blameless postmortems while providing support to vehicle software teams
  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through measurement and creative engineering
