About this role

SpaceX seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain mission-critical software infrastructure that accelerates vehicle software delivery and testing for Falcon 9, Starship, and Dragon missions. You'll work on reducing build and test times for safety-critical systems while ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across SpaceX's aerospace programs.

What you'll do

  • Deploy, operate, maintain, and scale mission-critical products and services supporting vehicle software development
  • Manage infrastructure as code and implement modern observability tools to monitor application health
  • Collaborate with software engineers to design operable, maintainable, and testable systems
  • Optimize the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and continuous improvement
  • Lead incident response, blameless postmortems, and on-call rotation duties
  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through measurement and engineering innovation
