About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer for the Starfall avionics team to design and implement firmware for next-generation flight systems. You'll work across the full software lifecycle—from development through operational support—enabling reliable and frequent launches while troubleshooting complex hardware-software integration challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver high-quality software and firmware for processors and microcontrollers
- Support launch operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Bring up, validate, and troubleshoot devices for space applications
- Perform hands-on integration and testing of flight hardware and software systems
- Analyze test results and investigate root causes of bugs
- Adapt to dynamic requirements and evolving mission-critical challenges
