About this role
SpaceX seeks a Supplier Development Engineer for Starlink Aviation to manage electrical component suppliers, oversee manufacturing processes, and ensure quality standards for aviation-grade assemblies. This role bridges design and production by conducting design-for-manufacturing reviews, implementing production approvals, and leading supplier quality improvements in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Serve as technical liaison resolving supplier manufacturing and quality challenges while mitigating production risks
- Own outsourced electrical parts through design reviews, process industrialization, and production ramp-up
- Assess supplier capabilities and source parts aligned with manufacturing competencies
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and validate corrective actions across the supply base
- Manage containment activities and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and manufacturing processes
