About this role

Stratolaunch seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support design, integration, and production of hypersonic testbed aircraft. You'll create tooling drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation while acting as the engineering liaison between design and the production shop to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

What you'll do

  • Create tooling drawings and work instructions for aircraft systems, structures, and ground support equipment installation
  • Generate aerospace production documentation including shop work instructions and process standardization procedures
  • Serve as engineering liaison on the shop floor to troubleshoot documentation issues and provide real-time manufacturing support
  • Reference 3D CAD models and translate them into 2D production drawings following aerospace standards
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance test protocols for system functionality and vehicle integration
  • Analyze manufacturing requirements and verify engineering specifications to estimate fabrication time, cost, and producibility
