AI Engineer

About this role

Stripe seeks an AI Engineer to embed with their Solutions Architecture team in Chicago, building production-grade tools and automation that boost SA productivity. You'll ship daily, discover workflow bottlenecks, integrate AI capabilities strategically, and scale successful tools across the organization while working at the intersection of engineering and business impact.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical deliverables
• Evaluate and integrate AI capabilities (LLMs, agents, workflow automation) for measurable productivity gains
• Build internal tools, agents, and automated workflows for technical discovery, solution design, demos, and customer engagements
• Harden and scale tools built by SAs into production-grade, maintainable solutions
• Identify workflow patterns and proactively build solutions addressing recurring friction
• Build custom demo environments and technical assets for strategic customer engagements
