About this role

Supabase seeks a Release Engineer (SRE) to own the reliability and safety of deployment pipelines and control plane systems. You'll standardize release workflows, build observability and monitoring, reduce incident response times, and ensure disaster recovery readiness while treating deployment infrastructure as a production-critical system.

What you'll do

  • Own reliability of deployment and release systems with clear SLOs and error budgets
  • Standardize and instrument pre-production workflows and deployment observability
  • Build health monitoring and synthetic testing to catch regressions before users
  • Reduce MTTD/MTTR for deploy-related incidents through automation and runbooks
  • Define SLOs, error budgets, and DORA metrics with meaningful alerting
  • Participate in on-call, lead blameless postmortems, and harden break-glass workflows
