About this role

Join Supabase to build Supabase Lite, a lightweight TypeScript implementation of Supabase that runs on SQLite and Postgres with sub-second provisioning. You'll own large areas end-to-end on a founding team, from API compatibility and developer experience to infrastructure, with significant agency to shape patterns and make early-stage decisions.

What you'll do

  • Expand API compatibility with the Supabase client and maintain conformance tests against hosted Supabase behavior
  • Extend Supabase stack functionality to SQLite and optimize the upgrade path from Lite to full Supabase
  • Design and own developer experience across CLI, local tooling, and documentation
  • Build and harden a scale-to-zero hosted offering with loosely coupled architecture
  • Collaborate with design partners to identify and resolve real-world migration and integration issues
  • Contribute to and engage with the open-source Supabase ecosystem
