About this role
WCSH-TV is hiring a Morning Broadcast Engineer to maintain and repair television production, transmission, and IT equipment while supporting daily news operations. The role covers broadcast gear, computer systems, networking infrastructure, and documentation across the station, working early mornings (4am–12:30pm) Monday–Friday.
What you'll do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast equipment including cameras, audio systems, video routers, editing systems, and intercoms
- Support and upgrade IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, security, and computer hardware across the station
- Provide technical support to news, sales, production, and broadcast studio departments
- Create and update wiring diagrams, system configurations, and technical documentation
- Monitor station operations to ensure smooth daily news broadcasts and television production
- Stay current with advances in broadcast technology, networking, and media systems
