Software Engineer, Backend

About this role

Tessera Labs seeks a mid-level Backend Engineer to build scalable APIs and microservices powering an AI-driven business automation platform. You'll design distributed systems, integrate enterprise tools like Salesforce and SAP, and optimize backend infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy
• Build data pipelines and synchronization services for enterprise system integrations
• Connect backend services with AI model servers, vector databases, and automation workflows
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and implement caching for performance and scalability
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and API security best practices
• Collaborate with frontend, AI, and product teams to deliver new features and identify improvements
