About this role
Torc is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and maintain device driver software that integrates sensors into autonomous truck systems. You'll work primarily in C++ to enable communication between sensors (PCIe, DMA, Ethernet, CAN) and downstream systems, handling system-level debugging and performance optimization.
What you'll do
- Design and implement sensor integration software using C++ for multiple interface types (PCIe, DMA, Ethernet, CAN)
- Debug and optimize driver performance at the system level
- Maintain software releases and testing artifacts
- Configure and interface with sensor hardware to route data to consuming systems
- Collaborate with the Device Drivers team on sensor communication protocols
- Support autonomous vehicle software development through reliable driver implementation
