About this role
Trace3 seeks an on-site Tier 2 Engineer in Atlanta to design, install, and optimize physical and wireless network infrastructure across diverse client environments. This role combines field engineering with technical mentorship, requiring heavy travel throughout North America to deliver comprehensive infrastructure solutions and support.
What you'll do
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless LANs and physical infrastructure across data centers, warehouses, and offices
- Perform RF coverage studies, wireless site surveys, and throughput testing to optimize network performance
- Document network infrastructure, conduct root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for upgrades and optimization
- Install, configure, and decommission enterprise-level equipment; manage device configuration (IP addressing, DNS, gateways)
- Lead proof-of-concept trials, mentor junior technicians, and support crisis management during critical outages
- Conduct client-facing meetings and maintain high customer satisfaction through professional communication
