About this role
Treeswift is seeking a Backend Engineer to develop and maintain backend services for their web platform, which supports utility companies in managing field data analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, particularly with Python and PostgreSQL, and will engage directly with customers to enhance product understanding.
What you'll do
- Design and build REST APIs for the frontend
- Develop PostgreSQL data layers with geospatial capabilities
- Manage backend deployment and infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with data and frontend teams on integration
- Engage with customers to improve product insights
- Own the full lifecycle of backend services
What they're looking for
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python and Django
- Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns
- Strong communication skills in technical environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform (bonus)
- Familiarity with geospatial data (bonus)
