About this role
Treeswift seeks a senior robotics engineer to advance perception capabilities for field-deployed LiDAR and imaging systems serving major utility companies. You'll lead SLAM development, sensor fusion, and calibration efforts to improve product quality across diverse operating conditions and accelerate delivery at scale.
What you'll do
- Lead SLAM development and incorporate new sensor technologies for GPS-degraded environments
- Develop sensor fusion approaches to merge multi-user, multi-session point cloud maps
- Automate alignment of LiDAR and imagery data for consistent large-scale scene reconstruction
- Eliminate need for manual extrinsic calibration measurements in field operations
- Improve data quality detection and correction mechanisms at the source
- Enhance product robustness and consistency across varying operating conditions

- C++ and Python proficiency
- SLAM algorithm development, particularly ground-based LiDAR systems
- Extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration techniques
- Sensor fusion and multi-modal data integration
- Point cloud processing and registration
- Ultra-wide angle camera experience (preferred)
