About this role

Tripadvisor is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer II to design and automate security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. You'll embed security into CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud posture, and partner with engineering teams to build secure-by-default infrastructure in a remote-friendly role based in Needham, MA.

What you'll do

  • Design and deploy scalable cloud security controls, IAM policies, and encryption standards across multi-account AWS environments
  • Integrate automated security scanning tools (IaC, SAST, secret detection) into CI/CD pipelines to prevent vulnerabilities before deployment
  • Develop automated detection and remediation workflows using Python, Bash, or Go with Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Implement container and Kubernetes/EKS security practices, including serverless architecture protections
  • Manage CSPM/CNAPP platforms, investigate high-priority alerts, and perform risk scoring and alert tuning
  • Conduct architectural security reviews, threat modeling, and serve as escalation point for cloud security incidents
