About this role
Twilio seeks a Software Engineer L2 to develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS compute environments, VM orchestration, and container technologies. You'll collaborate with architects and engineers to build scalable, automated solutions while supporting both legacy and modern cloud-native platforms.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with tech leaders and architects to solve complex distributed computing and infrastructure problems
- Design and implement scalable cloud-native environments using AWS ASG, EC2, and hardened AMIs
- Automate operational solutions for monitoring, performance, disaster recovery, and other critical tasks
- Participate in on-call rotation supporting business-critical infrastructure
- Apply Infrastructure as Code best practices and author design documents, runbooks, and system documentation
- Support both legacy and new compute system components as primary point of contact
