About this role

Twilio is seeking an L2 Software Engineer to build and scale Stytch's identity platform, developing backend systems for authentication, authorization, and emerging identity use cases. You'll operate with high ownership in a startup-like environment within Twilio, shipping customer-facing features and evolving the platform to handle Twilio's scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend capabilities for Stytch's identity platform, including new API surfaces and authentication flows for agentic and non-human identity
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into product features and execute on high-impact roadmap items
  • Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture alignment, platform integration, and cross-team initiatives
  • Exercise deep technical ownership: author design documents, drive key technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and maintain close connection to shipped systems
  • Solve complex problems with pragmatic tradeoffs and build developer experiences that meet customer needs
  • Enhance production quality through observability, incident response, and mentoring other engineers
