About this role
Varda seeks a Mission Assurance Engineer II to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware reliability and production scaling. You'll lead failure investigations, develop test and inspection plans, and ensure verified, reliable hardware production while supporting quality and flight reliability functions.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams for vehicle hardware
- Contain and manage suspect or non-conforming product, guiding quality inspectors and technicians on disposition
- Lead failure investigations across production, test, and operations to identify root causes and mitigate risk
- Provide critical peer review of hardware during design reviews and test campaigns
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions as needed
- Enable production scaling through right-sized processes and controls
