About this role

Varda seeks a Propulsion Engineer II to serve as the technical authority for ground fluid systems across all spacecraft programs. You will own the complete lifecycle from architecture through flight operations, lead propellant loading campaigns, and drive continuous improvement of fluid handling processes as the company scales its launch cadence.

What you'll do

  • Own ground fluid systems end-to-end including architecture, P&IDs, mechanical design, fabrication, and operations
  • Lead propellant loading campaigns across multiple Varda facilities with focus on safety and mission readiness
  • Define and improve propellant handling processes to ensure all commodities meet flight specifications
  • Author and maintain technical standards, work instructions, and engineering documentation for the propulsion organization
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and serve as primary technical reviewer for ground fluids deliverables
  • Serve as technical escalation point for complex fluid system problems and represent ground fluids in cross-functional reviews

  • Range safety requirements (91-710 or equivalent)
