About this role
Varda seeks a Supply Chain Engineer to bridge engineering and manufacturing by managing supplier quality, capabilities, and performance for space vehicle components. You'll conduct supplier audits, establish quality frameworks, and ensure components meet rigorous aerospace standards while collaborating across engineering and production teams.
What you'll do
- Establish and own Varda's supplier quality program framework
- Evaluate supplier capabilities for propulsion systems or mechanical components through audits and assessments
- Provide Designed for Manufacturability (DFM) input during product development and supplier selection
- Define quality requirements, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards in collaboration with engineering
- Investigate supplier quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Participate in design reviews and qualification activities to address supplier quality considerations
