About this role
Vercel seeks a Data Engineer to own the financial data infrastructure that powers revenue, forecasting, and reporting for Finance stakeholders. You'll build and maintain pipelines, dbt models, and semantic layers that transform complex billing and usage data into reliable datasets, working closely with Finance leaders to ensure data accuracy and usability.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end pipelines for billing, usage, and contract data into the data warehouse with high reliability
- Design and maintain dbt models that transform raw billing data into clean datasets for revenue recognition and forecasting
- Diagnose and resolve data quality and freshness issues at the source, not just downstream
- Establish testing and documentation standards to meet Finance's accuracy and audit requirements
- Partner with Finance leaders to understand business needs and translate ambiguous requirements into technical specifications
- Mentor engineers and set technical standards for the data team
