About this role
Vercel is hiring a Software Engineer to design and build V, an internal agent that automates work across the company through natural language interfaces. You'll architect the agent system, ship polished experiences across multiple surfaces, and establish frameworks for teams to contribute new capabilities while measuring accuracy and reliability.
What you'll do
- Design and build V as Vercel's primary agentic interface for answering questions, analyzing data, and executing multi-system workflows
- Architect agent systems that handle intent understanding, planning, tool selection, failure recovery, and long-running task completion
- Ship polished user experiences across Slack, web, and other surfaces combining conversational UI with rich interactive interfaces
- Develop evaluation, observability, and feedback systems to measure accuracy, usefulness, efficiency, and trustworthiness of agent responses
- Create primitives and frameworks that enable teams across Vercel to contribute new agent capabilities consistently
- Translate learnings from building V into infrastructure and ideas that can benefit Vercel's external customers
