About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Chief Engineer for Strategic Systems to lead end-to-end mission success of solid rocket propulsion programs, managing multidisciplinary teams while ensuring technical execution aligns with cost and schedule requirements in a defense and space technology context.
What you'll do
- Direct end-to-end technical lifecycle of solid rocket motor programs through design reviews and qualification milestones
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams to meet program milestones while managing critical path and schedule performance
- Establish and maintain lean technical scope baselines by monitoring cost performance indices and managing budget variances
- Serve as primary technical spokesperson managing internal and external stakeholder relationships and program communications
- Ensure final systems are producible, compliant with technical requirements, and balanced against cost and schedule constraints
- Drive schedule performance through aggressive management of task timelines and alternative execution strategies
