About this role
Electrical Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, testing, and qualifying avionics and electrical components for spacecraft systems at a space technology company. This hybrid Pittsburgh-based role involves PCB design, component trade studies, embedded programming, and comprehensive system-level testing across engineering and flight hardware.
What you'll do
- Design PCBs for spacecraft primary and secondary avionics systems
- Conduct component trade studies and select optimal solutions for avionics units
- Develop and execute test procedures for component, board, and system-level testing
- Program embedded systems, FPGAs, and microcontrollers for avionics applications
- Participate in environmental qualification and flight design unit testing
- Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and write technical reports
